More haze on polishing stage rather than compounding stage?🤔 Help.

Hello Autogeekers 😁 Why do I seem to have more haze on my polishing stage rather than on my compounding stage? Am using Sonax Cut and Finish compound with course orange cutting pad to cut and Rupes Keramic gloss fine polish (generation 1) with soft yellow polishing pad to polish out. I get close to 85-90% on gloss level with the sonax cutting compound but when I follow it up with the rupes polish and pad it hazes up and seems like am going backwards😟. This happens on different cars and i cant seem to figure it out. Ive tried a black finishing pad with the Keramic but no change. what am I doing wrong??

I've never used any of the products that you mention, but from experiencing simular problems I would suggest you polish for a longer period of time. Polish until there's hardly any residue.
I would use the black pad.
