    Dry Leather Seats?

2011 4Runner Limited. Black leather seats get a dry look to them, regardless of what conditioner I use, after about 1 week. I have tried 303, Lexol, Meguiars and few others I can't recall. They are clean before I condition. Any ideas on what to try next?

    Re: Dry Leather Seats?

Is that on all seat surfaces or the dry look is on the most worn seat- drivers seat...

12 year old vehicle - presuming the drivers seat has the most wear, color-coat is maybe a bit more abraded/worn and what you describe is more what's below the color-coat ?

Is it a Limited? Those had a urethane coated leather type material.

Was Toyota using SofTex yet? SofTex is a synthetic leather interior

You could try Leather Honey. It seems to soften old leather.

Look into Colour lock elephant leather preserve. If it probably needs a good conditioning.

I use leatherique, for all my cleaning and or condioning needs.

I have also heard good things about colorloc, some folks on here use that although ive never tried them.

If it's really bothering you have them re-upholstered. Nothing you apply will soften those up.
