Where to start with new truck...

Hey guys. Within the last month I've purchased a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 AT4. The truck purportedly has Ceramic Pro that was applied by the previous owner and judged to be in good shape per the last checkup. I am wanting to wash the truck by hand, on my own, and was wondering about this combination. (A power washer and foam cannon will be used).

Iron X Snow Soap - Wheels, Wheel Wells and lower rocker panels

Reset - Main wash for all over (our rain is very 'heavy' here and leaves water spots all the time. )

BlackFire Si02 - Coating after wash/dry to apply on top of the Ceramic Pro.

I'm trying to keep this simple and not buy tons of product. A little lost on what to do for interior/leather or the exterior black plastics. Any help on those would be appreciated.

If you are having problems with hard water you might want to occasionally throw in some CarPro Descale. Reset doesn't do anything for water spots but Descale is a mineral dissolver. If the coating is still performing as it should, Descale won't harm it and using it every few washes will help to keep it performing better.

How’s the truck beading? How’s the water behavior? I would do a wash with Reset then judge what needs to be done before hitting it with chemicals and topping it

So this is the part that concerns me. The water does not really run off like I would assume it should. I've never had a vehicle with Ceramic coatings so I'm not really sure how it should behave. I would assume something like a wax where the water just sheets off. This most definitely does not do that.

Also on the Iron X I was just wanting to use for wheels mostly - not on the entire truck. Can you use it in a diluted spray for a more localized application?

Definitely something wrong. A good coating water should be running off like it’s scared.

Might want to try a decon wash. The coating could be “clogged”.

You’ll need an alkaline, acidic and Neutral soap.

Look into Labocosmetica A,B,C wash. If that doesn’t work it was never coated or removed…

Agree the coating is not presenting itself. If it is a good one and still performing, it would be pretty obvious by the water slipping right off and the tight water beads.

Like already mentioned, I'd give it a good Descale wash to knock down the hard water spots and then evaluate the coating again. Hopefully the deep clean will revive the coating.

Would the A B C wash pertain to the PH three part wash that they mention on their site?

Yessir Primus Purifica and Semper. I would buy some iron remover (the soap you have is not as strong as a dedicated iron remover).

Would apply iron remover, let dwell then rinse. Then follow there instructions…

I'll be starting with Labocosmetica probably this week. I have twice used the Car Pro Lift, Descale, then Reset to no avail to clear up hard water spots on the truck.
