Detailing Products - Buy the smaller bottle to get the -branded bottle-

Do you buy the smaller bottle of the same product just to have the -stickered branded - bottle...

For my latest haul, some obvious things will just go into smaller 16/32 bottles that I label as I just pour into a bucket anyhow .....

But for rest of the batch, I normally would end up dumping it into my 24 oz sprayers with Tolco heads and P Touch it.
I'm kinda flip flopping on this and kinda wanna change things up a bit....buy the smaller bottle of like product to get the branded bottle.

Maybe I need to get some 12 oz bottles.
I just like whatever product comes out of the Tolco head

Some things however, like Koch Chemie stuff, doesn't come that way though

I normally am not a huge fan of dispensers.
I normally close the -spray head- of bottles with them
    Everything else has closed caps.
Stuff does -evaporate- a smidge when open to air

I don’t like bottles that are smaller than 32oz. [I’d have to refill too frequently otherwise]

Alot of my stuff is Meguiars so it goes nicely into their labeled bottles. For some of the other stuff, I buy Meguiars generic bottles and label them with permanent marker. All my bottles have Tolco sprayers on them.

I actually hate the 32oz bottles - personal preference. I find it's too much - both in extra length and weight

I feel it's more agile with the 24 for most things.

The only thing I have in that sorta size is handheld is the 40 OZ compression handheld sprayer - but even those are heavier than a 40oz sprayer as it's usually a thicker walled HDPE containers and all the stuff to make it a compression sprayer. Those I have dedicated for foaming wheel, and rinseless.

And as crazy as this may sound, but since I think I may want a smaller bottle, I'm looking at 8 ounces spray bottles which is a size I definitely would not have considered in previous times

I'm the same as chefwong, I hate the larger bottles. After getting carpeltunnel surgery in both hands more than 20 years ago and having arthritis along with, more weight equals more pain lol. I typically transfer everything to 16oz bottles where I can. Now you got me thinking about 8oz bottles!

    Oh hell no.

I'd put product in one of Ric's empty "Fresh-Step" cat litter containers. (If he washed it out first. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it.......)

I buy 16 oz bottles and get Detailed Image labels. They have a blank section on them, and then use transparent labels from a label maker

If I bought the smaller bottle first, I'll refill it. But I wouldn't buy a small bottle if I had a larger container. Some brands don't have great bottles (I'm looking at you P&S).

I like 16oz for most things especially interior. I do have some 32oz Kwazars for things like Ech20 and others. Exterior QD’s and drying aids.

Not much out there beats a good Tolco for atomizing. Not a fan of most companies sprayers

Bought a bunch of orange ones not realizing they weren’t chemical resistant but seem to be holding up.

I get the 16oz chemical Gus bottle they have been solid for me.

Because I'm a product sl.t, I learnt long ago to always buy the 16oz or 500ml bottle to try first. If I like the product, depending on the bottle design, I will either just use the OE bottle or put the product into a Kwazar Mercury 360 500ml or Pressol Household 500ml. For example, the KCx and Gyeon bottles and sprayers are pretty good, so they mostly stay as is. For more heavily used chemicals, wheel cleaners/glass cleaners/interior cleaners/drying aids, they get put into a better bottle.

I did have the larger 1000ml Kwazar for drying aid (Megs D155 at the time) or APC, but they are too bulky and heavy when full.

This is the size comparison between the 500ml and 1000ml ..............................

The only issues with Kwazar and Pressol have been related to high alkalinity, Wise Guy killed two Kwazar heads, but then it also killed multiple Tolco and Canyon heads too. KCx Guf turned a Kwazar's soft rubber pickup tube hard as a carp and requires about 25 pumps to get it spraying, and Brake Buster has killed one Pressol Industrial head, along with a few Tolco's.

@DFB. The shape of that bottle in your last pic looks appealing.^

I wonder if it’s a bit oversized to fit in a 8pc. bottle caddy though. Is the bottom the same size or bigger than the Megs dispenser bottles?
