PIANO BLACK Trim - Marring

It's finally happened. Or when I look for it in direct sunlight. Very minutia marring in the right light on the piano black trim. I believe it's glossy black plastic with a clearcoat ontop....
These areas are one of things on my radar of things to be extremely mindful of. Whenever I wash, I -always- use the mitt and clean up these pieces 1st. Mainly, as I know the wash media and wash shampoo is as -clean- as it gets.

Eventually like now, I know I will have to just TLC it back with the iBrid.

So tell me boys, are you able to clean and maintain similar pieces and not get any marring....

My wife's Yukon has that stuff.....like you, I wash it with a fresh mitt and some extra soap.....so far so good...although I probably do not inspect them afterward as closely as I should

Those trim pieces get marred when you look at them cross-eyed.

Just use a light polish on them. 3D Speed works very well I have found.

A stiff breeze will scratch them PPF and be done with the stress,

Have a look at Jim White from White Details he is a Suntek PPF installer and has his last two video's discussing this subject.

I have most of said pieces of piano black actually PPF . Area's not doable just due to no preference of not edge cut but tucked not really doable on the A-D Window/Door Trim and the side mirrors. Another + of PPF is the anodized or painted aluminum that always tends to oxidize over time....PPF is king. Huge proponent of PPF for various reason these days...

Get pre cut PPF for your make and model, the reason you must watch the video i suggested is because YOU don't need to polish! Just lay over some Suntek and it's magic the scratchs seem to disappear it is very fascinating.
