    Magic eraser for leather cleaning

Hi I have seen that this product has been used for leather cleaning.
Does it work and where can I buy this from?
Is it harsh on the leather?

    Thanks

Yikes! Personally i would not use it on leather.

I have it, and have used it. Just so you know, it is abrasive. It will dull painted surfaces(to be clear, no ive not used it on vehicle paint).

With that being said, it might damage leather permintantly

In a technical sense, you can use a magic eraser on leather, but you probably shouldn't. As mentioned, its extremely abrasive and will cause damage to the finish long term

If you are wanting something more effective than a brush, have a look into the VLB brush or one of those scrub ninja's.

I'm not a interior guru but for my person vehicles I like saddle soap.

Imo a magic eraser on leather is risky and unnecessary.

Are the leather seats Hammered? How important or old is the vehicle? I wouldn’t recommend it on a vehicle that’s in good condition or that simply needs a routine cleaning.

If it’s a 20+ yr. old car that’s in rough shape and needs a thorough cleaning then it could be an option, but otherwise you really shouldn’t have to go that hard.

Magic Erasers work really good on vinyl door panels and plastic bits especially when you’re dealing with a dirty vehicle that you’re detailing. I don’t go to war without them in those situations.

I personally don’t think magic eraser should be anywhere near a car. It is the equivalent of 3600 grit sandpaper… Plenty of other things that are not abrasive, especially if you “scrub“ with it.
