Buying a Flex XCE 10-8 125 or is there a better alternative?

I’m fixing to purchase a new polisher and I’ve been eyeballing the XCE 10-8 125 or aptly named ‘Supa Beast.’ Are there any others I should be considering? I don’t want cordless so the CBeast is out for me.

I wish there was more to choose from in forced rotation. Only show in town with the exception of the Rupes LK 900E but I prefer a bit throw orbit than 5mm

I highly doubt you would be disapointed if you purchased the supa beast! Wonderful machine.

Make sure you get the 6 inch backing plate to swap out the smaller 5 inch.

As a side note...if you are going to for sure do it,detailed image is currently having for another 3 days a sale on lake country pads. You can get the 6.5inch lc force pads for under 7.50 each...which is over 30 percent off!!

I highly doubt you would be disapointed if you purchased the supa beast! Wonderful machine.

Yeah, need a little more throw than 5mm. 8mm isn’t much more… but it’s more. Lol

I have 2-3 dozen pads of just force white pads for just polishing...so im typically 1 pad per average sized panel. You could probly get away with 6 as that is the standard minimum reccomendation, but i probly used 9-12 pads.

Also i would not rule out the possiblity of you not using the g9 after you use forced. It will be so much faster than your g9.

Just think of that jeep you just did...how long did it take you? Well, id say cut that time in half if you had a supa beast instead of that g9 in your hands

I heard the Forced Rotation polishers don’t finish up as nice as a DA. The Jeep I did was only the flat part of the hood, and that was only 8 passes for each section. I’m sure without a doubt it would make the whole thing go faster. I’ve got to do my wife’s mustang, my mother in law wants me to do her Mercedes suv and a guy I work with wants me to do his challenger. That’s really the only reason why I’m considering a forced rotation. I don’t want to spend a lot more time than I have to because the G9 does a great job. Just a little time consuming when it gets to the curvy bits in the body.

What backing plate the for Supa Beast? The flex brand?

I’m sure without a doubt it would make the whole thing go faster. I dont see or hear mike p grabbing a free spinning tool to finish out lol.

Finishing out has alot more to do with pad and abrasives, and technique more than it does just machine.

My advice would be to make your own judgement on finishing out after you have used one b4 going off of hearsay buddy. Not everyone has the same buffing style

Well, that and I already have a ton of finishing and wax pads for the G9. Could save me some money from buying them

Kinda sucks that DI has their sale until Wednesday. I get my bonus on Thursday and that’s when I planned on buying everything. I was gonna go ahead and get the polisher then as well since I can get everything with free shipping. Guess I could Klarna it. Lol

since markus kleis (formerly of meguiar's) joined HF, i noticed they carry more detailing products and i'm sure his feedback will continue to grow the detailing aspect there...
