New Car Towel Recommendations
Hey guys, I plan on receiving my new car in the next 6-8 weeks and a certain AG competitor is having a nice microfiber sale so now would be a good time to get what I need. Currently have zero towels that I’m willing to use on this car.
I plan on polishing the car upon arrival pre PPF. Then coating with UK3.0 once Spring really hits. Then regular maintenance washes.
Drying - Leaning towards the TRC Gauntlet, but the liquid8r has peaked my interest. The PFM is also an option at this price point.
Polish and sealant removal - TRC 300? maybe the creature edgeless?
Wash pad/mitt - thinking a TRC mitt and the TRC small 6x8 pad
Would appreciate recommendations/ opinions on those and anything else I may need!
Thank you.

Definitely the PFM for drying hands down
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Totally agree......I've tried a bunch and nothing touches them. They are expensive...but some things are expensive because they are worth it

Will they be polishing prior to PPF install?

300’s can be OK for polish/sealant removal but prefer the softer 350’s. Creatures seem a bit ‘rough’ for my tastes on paint but use them for wheels/door jambs/stainless & chrome polishing…’dirty’ jobs that still benefit from a soft touch.
Towels can be such a personal choice thing; long nap/plush towels never seem to work well for me.

I’ll be polishing the car myself with Reflect and I’ll gauge whether it needs it a white or yellow Rupes pad.
Aren’t the creatures 420 GSM?

Your shortlist is sound, I would probably swap the 300 for the 350 or Creature.
The Gauntlet is a brilliant towel, the one I grab most often now.
The Cyclone wash mitt/pad, I would avoid the 10X version as it's pretty heavy and cumbersome when fully saturated.

I love the Creature, I have them in a couple of roles, including polish removal as I like the dual sides.
I also really like using Carpro Reflect, super easy to work with and no/low dusting.

I like your list. I’ve liked every quality twisted PFM I’ve used. If I was buying new I would go PFM. The gauntlet rates well.
One thing I will do in the future if s just stick to the smaller 16x16 (PFM) or 15x24 (gauntlet) as I prefer smaller drying towels.
The TRC 300 are nice for coating removal.
Not a fan of the creatures. Creatures, mine just felt rougher.
I didn’t like the TRC 350 EE for LSP removal and haven’t tried with Polish removal. Excellent for rinseless wash.
For polish and LSP removal I like th 365 edgeless. It is Dual pile like the creature but the long nap side is still pretty tight and the short nap is a terry weave.
I like to initially remove with the short nap side and then follow up with 2nd towel on long nap side for final removal/buffing. This towel for me trumps 300 and 420 (creature) towels.

For drying...
RC Gauntlet is a excellent choice.
PMF is another.
