2022 Black F250
Hey Guys,
I recently traded my 2014 Black Expedition for a 2022 Black F 250. If you want to tell me I'm crazy for wanting another black vehicle, save it, I've heard it all before.
The paint is in pretty good shape, but since it's new, I want to get it looking great. I have a Griots DA with many Lake County orange, white, black and one or two blue and I think red pads.
I plan on claying was well as a chemical decontamination. I'm thinking on doing a two-step process and then a ceramic coating. Unfortunately, this truck lives outside but I do have a spot I can do the ceramic inside.
I basically have two questions. What products do you suggest and secondly, can I do most of the work ahead of time (maybe a week) and then the day I'm going to ceramic the truck re-wash it and put it inside and coat?
Thanks,

Congrats on the new truck. Do you really need to do a 2 step? If not then save time and do only one depending on the outcome of the test spot.
If you are looking for coating recommendations well there are many good ones. Is there a particular one you are considering is the first question to know.
You could to what you mentioned, just be careful not to marr the paint when you wash it. The other option is to polish a few panels and then coat them. The continue on the following weekend.

A 250 is big- I would go with the above poster and do half @ a time

Re: 2022 Black F250
I guess I don't really need a two-step. Any recommendations for a good one-step and what pads to use? I haven't done any ceramic yet, but I think I will use Gyeon Mohs Evo and maybe Can Coat as a topper. Does this sound like a good combination?
Thanks!

That is a good option for coatings. If you like slickness then don't top Mohs Evo with anything.
If you are looking for polishes well there are many good ones. One easy to use is Sonax EX 04-06. Don't forget the panel wipe as well.
