Gyeon Wetcoat vs Detailer why/when to use each?

Gyeon Wetcoat vs Detailer why/when to use each?

I coated my wife's Outback with Gyeon MOHS. Which product is a topper, revitalizer - Wetcoat, or Detailer?
The Gyeon website has zero details as to what's in each product. Here is Texas durability is king (IMHO)

    Peer AutoGeek:

“WetCoat is perfect for increasing gloss and longevity on vehicles previously treated with an SiO2 coating, and for those without a coating at all, the self-cleaning effect will reduce the number of routine washes necessary!”

    Per Esoteric:

“Gyeon WetCoat is one of the easiest ways to apply a durable sealant on your car, whether using it just by itself, or on top of an existing quartz/ceramic coating.”

Lastly Gyeon calls it a hydrophobicity BOOSTER

You’ll be fine using either as a topper. WetCoat is a best a 3 month sealant.

I would use WetCoat every 2-3 months and use the detailer as a drying aid.

I deleted my message… It’s late, I read it wrong… I thought he was talking about Cancoat… Wetcoat would work perfectly well. I use it on my wheels all the time that have been ceramic coated with cquartzUK.

If'n it was me, I'd use one or the other, the 'one' being Ceramic Detailer after a wash/dry. Mohs is solid, Ceramic Detailer is solid, no reason to muddy the waters with Wetcoat. More isn't always better...

I've been using Ceramic Detailer on top of Can Coat and it works very well. No streaking and very slick. Wet Coat would work as well. I'd pick one or the other. I'd save Wet Coat for winter/or wheels personally.

I'm on the same page as you.

For me, the idea of Wet Coat and similar touchless sealants is to use them a quick and easy way to add some protection to a car or wheels.

Seeing as the car is coated with a high quality and high end coating, there is really no need to be adding Wet Coat on top of it. The Ceramic Detailer on the other hand would be a great drying aid/coating maintenance product.

Kinda figured when you said coating lite. Your post always have good feed back and it is confusing that half of Gyeon’s products name end in coat.

I’m going to try spray and rinse products on lower half of car this winter just to see if it’ll keep it from degrading faster.
