Re: Ceramic Spray
Here’s the guide I use in trying to determine whether a new product is any good or not; if somebody tells me that they’ve got something great and they learned about it on Facebook, I immediately do a 180 and go the other way…. They are always completely overpriced, And Marginal in performance.
That F11 crap is a perfect example…

I count "using" as experience with it on one of my vehicles or one I have contact with to see how well it works.
I applied it while on the set of one of AG "Competition Ready" TV episodes several years ago. We applied it to the car and then we all went home. Never saw the car again. Fire and forget and not enough for my to personally vouch for the product.

Re: Ceramic Spray
Let us know how that 3D spray coating is. Hopefully it is better than their actual coating.

Re: Ceramic Spray
Brian from Apex Detail did a Youtube review of Torque Detail Spray and, well, let's just say he was NOT impressed
Nearly all of these sealants that are heavily marketed on social media are junk. Scott HD found that Torque Detail Spray and NexGen Spray did not last 30 days. And F11 Topcoat was gone after just a single wash.
My favorite ceramic sprays are Griot's Garage Ceramic 3-in1 and also Technicians Choice Ceramic Detail Spray.

UD, I'm surprised you didn't mention Griot's 3-in-1 to him right off the bat.
I know that you have used it as a stand alone on your truck.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I suggested the 3 in 1 but he wanted pure Ceramic. I’m glad I talked him out of that Torque Detail stuff.

Torque is like a ceramic sealant or QD…. Similar to Griots 3-1 or CSS. Touch is a coating lite, similar to CanCoat.
Have him email 3D and see if he can get an SDS to see how much silica is in it.
As long as he’s good for applying a ceramic lite he should be good. Also would recommend CanCoat over Touch. Even though I have not tried Touch I know he’s getting something tried and true.
Seen no reviews on AG so I doubt we’d be great help if he gets in a pickle. CanCoat we know.

I am asking, not arguing
What is wrong with their actual ceramic coating?
I know it isn't popular so there must be a reason

Re: Ceramic Spray
For water based coating I’ve had good luck with new Sonax ceramic spray they bead well it’s been better than expected. Also slickness was great total opposite of BSD

Depending on durability expectations, Capro Elixr is another interesting option. It's billed as a detail spray, but I used it once as a standalone (long story) and found it lasted at least four weeks. Beading and sheeting was more coating-like than the Griots. Just make sure it's applied in warm weather.
I'm liking the sound of Elixir, especially knowing it can be used on the interior.
