    M205 vs Sonax Perfect Finish

M205 vs Sonax Perfect Finish, which product is least aggressive?

I've done a compond and polish in the past with M105 & M205.
It's not too bad right now, but I think it needs a refresh and not sure which product to use.

    Thanks
    Rob

M205 would be the least aggressive

100% agree. M205 is less aggressive than perfect finish. Perfect finish is great on soft honda paint, gets rid of defects but finishes beautifully. Love them both!

I'd use perfect finish 99% of the time over M205. Better cut and better finish. PF is not THAT aggressive.

It's also pad depending on how much of cut you want from them both. And different abrasive technology with 205 as SMAT non diminishing abrasives and PF is diminishing abrasives. With 205 you could do 1-3 passes and with PF you would want to polishing through so it breaks down and with normal armspeed you get it somewhere between 4-6 passes or look at it so it clears up when polishing. And with a finishing or light polishing pad you don't get that much cut from both of them. So dial in the pad that cut enough and you will be fine with both options I think. Sometimes it can be fun to test out a new product for you.

What car and how was the hardness of the clearcoat when you polished it last time?

I was planning to use Rupes yellow pads with either product.
    It's a carbon black F80 M3.
    Not sure on hardness level.
I used a Meguiars MF cutting pad with the 105 and the swirls came out fairly easily.
    Thanks for the feedback.
