    Need help removing orange peel?

    Need help removing orange peel?

I found a new member asking questions in the Chatbox. I kindly let him know he was in the Chatbox. The Chatbox is for small talk. To have a real conversation a person wants to "Start a thread".

He said he was going to take the conversation to the forum but I never saw anything pop up? So I'm starting this for him...

    From the Chatbox

    Hi Ando94,

You can't really remove orange peel from car paint via buffing. I have a picture from the early 1990's where I DID remove orange peel by only buffing but it's a LOT of hard work and really not the way to do it.

Damn.... I think I have an article on everything....

Can orange peel be removed or lessoned by just machine compounding?

How to remove Orange Peel using a Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher

My preferred method is a technique I call Scuff and Buff and I teach it in some of my classes.

    Hey mike

I’m currently working on some upgrades that I purchased for my 2018!Fk8 Civic. Type R

and well I’m not a professional painter by all means and I’ve watched and tried to understand as much as possible, with that being sad I purchased the flex 3403 to use since my Da (Flex3401) just didn’t seem to get it done.

However I seen you guys use it and it does phenomenal I’ve tried the microfiber pads I’ve tried a few compounds no luck so I ordered the Meguiars kit and I’m hoping that’ll do the job I wish I would of knew the 3493 wasn’t that great for cars I just liked how I can go from a 1in to 7in pad that compared with the e peices i thought it’d be a smooth set up I just need to get a wall rack lot keep the machines from laying around
