Video: Boats arriving for the boat detailing class!

The below picture is a video that's on my Facebook page - >click< on the picture to see just how horrible the condition is for this 26' Searay.

    Here's the boat arriving....

Class is this Saturday and Sunday! Class starts at 7:30am and goes till 5:30pm or until we're done each day. These are all hands-on classes - not sitting in a chair listening to someone talk about boat detailing. We hold this class only once a year. If you just find out about it or missed it for this year, put February on you calendar for 2020.

Here's some pictures using light to show the true condition...

So far, most people that have seen the boat in the garage say,

    Don't look too bad?

Without the right light in the right place, you cannot accurately evaluate the accurate condition of the boat. So let me get out my SCANGRIP Multimatch II and lighter her up!

Here's the exact light I'm using to showcase the holograms, oxidation, stains and streaks on and in the gel-coat.

    SCANGRIP Multimatch II

Now let's take a look at the other side of the boat...

    Hey! Looks like a Spider!

Outboard motor looks just as hammered....

Here's the inside - lots of mold and oxidation.

Here's the windshield - looks horrible - totally filled with scratches...

The tower looks just as bad with both oxidation and mold....

Backrest is covered in mold too!

    Oxidized pole holders....

This is going to make for a great learning class.

    Just to add....

For those that cannot make it to Florida to take this class. The boat detailing how-to book I wrote is the course manual.

Pretty much everything I'm going to show the class over the course of the weekend is in the book.

    ***Update***

    Second boat has arrived....

    Short video

I took this when the boat arrived - the picture is a video --> click on it to watch

    Before pictures

Graphics leave behind what is called GHOSTING - Google ghosting and Mike Phillips, I have some articles on this topic.

Those shapes that are a different color are PATCHES from repairs. This is normal and I'll show the class how to address.

Getting around rubber lettering is a real challenge but I share a few techniques for this too....

Only boats in HORRIBLE condition work for learning and training and that's why I bring boats in this condition in for a class. You cannot learn anything on a new, shiny boat. But I can teach you EVERYTHING you need to know by bringing in a horrible condition boat. Then you can take what you learn and apply it to ANY condition boat.

    Hands-on Classroom
Here's how the classroom looks. We should set-up a GoPro Camera to film the class via Time-Lapse Video as it will show just how emtpy and lonely those chairs are going to be.

When I wrote the boat detailing book I wrote it to also be the course manual for the class.

Today I'll be setting up tools, pads, products and LOTS of microfiber towels.
