    Will dust hurt my paint

My car sits in the garage for most of its days I wax it every time I wash it with pinnacle souveran.

I don't use a car cover because i don't want it to scratch it I only use abcad cover for the winter when I actually out it away

my question is will dust hurt my car paint from just sitting on it the most it usually goes without being washed is about 3 weeks

Dust just sitting on the paint (with LSP on it already) shouldnt hurt your paint. The damage comes when it gets moved by a wash mitt or towel or something else rubbing across the surface.

Pressure wash it off the paint before you wash and you should be fine.

    Agree.

It all comes down to how you "touch" the paint.

And if you don't have a pressure washer, the do your best to blast off the loose stuff using the "Jet" spray pattern on a good water sprayer.

Here in AZ we have plenty of dust. My two garage queens sit with little to no use and the only reason I have to wash them is because the seals on the garage cannot stand up to an AZ haboob (sand storm). Typically as long as your not dragging or running your hands, fingers or any other media over the dust covered vehicle it's fine.

Every week or when time permits, pull her out and give her a good bath. And drive it!

I don"t get the risk of dust damageing paint.

Surley waxed or sealed paint can resist the "dust" no matter what it is.

Blasting it off or wiping it off is no different than if it rains on the car and you drive it on the hiway.

The paint is designed to resist such wear snd tear.

    I don't get the risk.

    IMO:
    It’s possible.
