Issue with Wolfgang Uber Rinesless Wash
alright .. so I have been using the uber rinseless wash for a bit now .. I have noticed issues with spots all over the car and also streaks.
I have read the dilution ratios here and I am using 3oz to a gallon of water and spray and wipe off the car. I will spray .. wipe with one microfiber and then go back over it with a dry microfiber. In bright sun it looks great .. but when the sun starts going down I see the spots/dots all over the car. Now I was just trying to do my daughters black car and the sun is starting to go down. I couldn't wipe fast enough to not get it to streaks/smears that I couldn't get off with the dry cloth. I had to go back over it with the wet cloth and dry cloth right over it .. like swipe wet .. swipe dry. something doesn't seem right with this.
I have a few questions.
My first question is ... is my dilution too much since its streaking?
Also I noticed the dilution is 1oz to 3 gallons of water for a rinesless wash... but the dilution for a detail spray is 3oz to 1 gallon of water. How does that make sense?? why would it be so much less for a rinesless wash vs a detail spray?
Anyone else have issues with this stuff leaving spot or streaks?
Thanks for the help

Re: Issue with Wolfgang Uber Rinesless Wash
The spots that you mention seem more like hard water spots or etching.
I've never had a problem with Uber streaking. I use it as a rinseless at 2 oz per 3 gallons and dry with one towel a section at a time. Dry with wet side, then flip to my dryer side and everything disappears.
I haven't used it at or as a detail spray, sorry.
The reason for a stronger dilution for a waterless wash is that you want more polymers on the paint since you are typically using less liquid and a dry towel.

I guess i am going to try using distilled water and see if that makes any difference at all. I really want this stuff to work dang it! lol
I havent used it as a rinesless wash yet. I've been thinking about it .. but the detail spray just seems a little easier/quicker than the rinseless wash

Are you using a good quality, soft plush towel to dry with?

The waterless dilution is 1:48 I believe.
Nick explained the dilution ratios before, and I think it was something about the concentrations of the 'shiny' stuff versus the 'lubricants' at the different ratios. Sorry I don't remember exactly what he said, but it's in a thread here somewhere

Yes, that's the key. I use distilled water for everything I dilute. @ only $1 per gallon it's worth it.

I use it in direct sunlight all the time..
I've never had streaks or spots appear during or afterwards.
I can tell you that the 1 time I didn't have any distilled water available and used filtered drinking water to dilute a bottle of Megs D120 Glass Cleaner, it streaked like never before while using it in direct sunlight.
