Griots Boss 21 Vs Rupes Mark II LHR21 POWER! Help me decide to buy.
OK so I ordered the Rupes Mark II LHR 21 tonight... then I started seeing all this about the griots boss 21. Feels better, lifetime warranty, can use 5 inch backing plates.. etc Put in the cancel request .. I did mess up on stuff on that order anyhow.
Truth is ... I have done a LOT of research ... of the rupes 15 and 21 machines. I got so focused on those I really didnt look at anything else. Now that I am I am not really finding anything about the pad stalling on the Griots Bos 21 one way or the other.
Does anyone know about the power difference between the two machines? Especially when it comes to how hard or easy it is to cause the pad to stall out on a curve or downward pressure on the griots vs the rupes?
and where are these 5 inch backing plates for the rupes mark II 21 at, cause I sure cant find it!! lol

Looks like from this thread you went ahead and pulled the trigger on the RUPES 21

All free spinning tools will have issues maintaining pad rotation in curved panels, that's the nature of this type of design.

Stay tuned, I'll be posting pictures of a RUPES Detailing Class we recently held here at Autogeek. You'll see the tool you purchased in action.

Oh ya .. I absolutely get that. I know that any orbital is going to stall on a curve or something at the wrong angle, except the 3401. However I am sure that one is harder to stall out than the other. Being between the Griots Boss 21 and the Rupes Mark II LHR21. I cant seem to find anything that compares the two ... and not much about the pad stalling on the Boss 21 at all.
