Micro Scratches on Glossy Black Plastic Trim

    Good Morning All,

Am wondering how to keep micro scratches off, and remove from glossy black plastic trim. I'm assuming it's plastic, anyway.
I didn't think it was marked up in any way, but looking at different angles, you can see the faint lines in the gloss. The trim is on the doors covering the "B" pillar, "C" pillar, surrounding back window, and seems on the entire roof. I'm thinking this material is softer than the paint and clear coat on the car.

Here are some photos, although it might be difficult to see the marks I'm talking about.

As stated above, also, what is a good coating to prevent this.

Big storm coming tomorrow, and am going to do RW in garage after driving the couple of days after storm, is the lubricity in RW products enough to prevent what I'm worried about?

Looked for a solution prior to posting, apologies if it's already out there.

Stay safe in storm tomorrow, for those of you in the northeast.

The photos don't really show much as far as microscratches.
IIRC the exterior "B" (on many vehicles) in some sort of thin tin.
I have had good luck polishing (ever so slightly) with the Rupes iBrid.
I doubt that a "coating" will stop any new fine scratches from occurring.
I might suggest some sort of PPF (Xpel etc) or spraying with Carpro Immortal.

Best bet is to polish them and apply PPF over top of them

Thanks, guys. Am getting Xpel put on front the end of the month. Will definitely ask the installer about covering these areas.

I used a sealant on mine & it worked well to prevent further scratching.
