That's 3 votes for Pinnacle. Got a couple bars heading my way & you guys are making me feel like I made a good decision. Thank you for the replies.

2 bars of Pinnacle were delivered today. Too bad none of my 3 cars need attention yet. Saturday will be a trial run.

The Speedy Prep Towel is cloth backing with rubber front ("claying side"). To clean you rinse with water (same thing if you drop on ground). It does not marr the paint and I have used the same cloth for 4 years (about 8-10 times). I have removed overspray (which I think is the toughest test), water spots, bug guts and adhesive residue with good success.

The speedy prep towel can mar soft paints, any clay bar can really. You just need to use plenty of lube and a light touch. Having the towel above 70 F will help a lot, I do struggle with it in the winter in my garage. Also, avoid hot panels and thoroughly rinse any solvent off the car before using the towel.

It is substantially faster than a clay bar. They claim it lasts 50 cars. I think they last about a year for me doing cars nearly every weekend and often during the week too, so 50 cars seems accurate for my use

While I haven't done a side by side yet, I have used the Optimum on the windshield of my truck. I have taken the windshield wipers off & am happy to report that the Optimum performed flawlessly. I ran it mildly up against the rubber surround, trying to get it to break off & stay under. It passed with flying colors. Exactly what I was looking for. Drove home from work tonight in the rain. Perfect beading action. Pinnacle will get tested in the next few days. I will post my findings here. I've got a 2012 Charger to clay & wax for a customer when it cools down here in central Florida. I think I may buy a speedy prep towel to speed that job up.

If it performs like the Optimum, which I fully expect it to, I'll be in good shape. 2 cases of Pinnacle are sitting on a supply shelf. I will buy a case of Optimum along with a fine grade speedy prep towel. I like to be stocked up, ready for almost anything.
