I have Polar white mercedes 2015 with their standard mild orange peel.. being white it needs all the help it can to look good and this definately holds it back..
also being a single stage white and mercedes its gonna be hard as nails and a pain to do..
I got some denim car pro pads yesterday to start out with and test results... Lets go...

I too have done a fair amount of wet sanding yet more so on smaller pieces over the years,Steering wheels, garnish moldings, engine components, clear coated aluminum parts ect. Have only done a couple of freshly painted complete cars.Like most things in life common sense is your best friend.If you (Mike) plan on a wet (damp) sand project in the SHOW CAR GARAGE I would love to be a part of it.(Off the AUTOGEEK clock naturally!)

I'm in for #3 Mike. Before I wet sanded my car ,I used rear panel from a 2013 Chevy truck that was wrecked. After the 2 steps of hand sanding and 2 steps of machine sanding there wasn't much room for error with compounding and polishing.The clear coat seemed thin...
