Is this a good kit to correct scratches & swirls for a beginner?

I have a MINI Cooper with light swirls all over & some long scratches(by previous owner) on one side. Scratches are not deep(can't feel them with fingernail test).
It has dual moonroofs & only about 7" of roof section around it so I think I'm better off with 5" backing.
The front vinyl stripes have bad water marks that I can't clean with 70% ISO alcohol.

Questions:

• Is this a good Griot's starter package to get?

plus microfiber towels

• Any suggestions about getting rid of watermarks on the stripes?
• Would you recommend another pads/chemicals set to get with the GG6?

Get three white pads instead of the red pads. You'll only need one pad to apply lsp's blue or black is fine.

I would get a microfiber cutting disk for those scratches.There cheap and you will have them if orange won't do the job.Those spots look topical,use the cream by hand no machine and with a white terry cloth for more bite as far as abrading those watermarks off.Try a little section first and make sure your not scouring the stripe.If you can't get a terry cloth,use a sock turned inside out.

And in addition to what GSKR states, always do a test spot with the least aggressive product / pad first... If it yields good results, you have you answer.
