Re: What is a good TIRE Dressing?

Are you referring to Mirror Glaze # 40?

Optibond seems to last a number of weeks after applying once or twice. Nice clean, dark matt finish. The rubber has not turned brown over many weeks.

One note; I've gone to spraying ONR at lube concentrations on my wheels and tires before a bucket of car wash and brushes to clean my bimmer wheels and tires with good success. Using a wheel cleaner might impact longevity of the Tire Dressing.

Opt-bond may not be your favorite if you want a real shiny finish.

    My 2 cents.

You can also try Meguiars Vinyl and rubber cleaner in the beige bottle. It is perfect as a cleaner and low gloss dressing. It makes the rubber look brand new without being greasy or shiny, doesn't turn the rubber brown, Cleans white lettering beautifully without scratching and actually repels dust too. Use a terry towel, it will turn black but washes out easily in the laundry.

Yeah that is the stuff I used when out of tire stuff. I think it has "protector" in the tittle as well. But it has for "interior" vinyl and rubber on the label as well. Seems to last a couple weeks too. I haven't purchased any tire stuff sense using this stuff, no need. Cheers
