    Window Trim Marks

The trim around my driver-side door window has some marks on it. When I run my finger across these marks I don't feel anything, so I don't think they're scratches. Probably some sort of discoloration. I bought Poorboy's Trim Restorer but I haven't used it yet. Steve from Poorboy's told me in an e-mail that it's not for smooth plastic. Do you guys think I could safely use it to try to get rid of these marks or should I try something else?

Is it a hard piece of trim?

    Yes, it's hard, smooth plastic.

You can go over it very lightly with your da or rotary. Start out with a finishing pad and a final polish like 85rd or Ultrafina and it should take those marks out.

Should I set the speed at a higher level like 5 or 6 or perhaps slower like 3 or 4?

If it's smooth and not textured, try going over it with a light paint cleaner and see if that helps.

I spoke with him earlier on the phone and got him set up with some Klasse AIO to try out. If that doesn't work, give PO85RD a shot.

Start out slow at first and go from there.
