For me the choice to do a one step polish is always my first choice on daily drivers. With the quality of many of the products out there these days it is much easier to achieve exceptional results with many one step products.
Another product I really liked, even better than FG400 was HD Adapt. But for some unexplainable reason they chose to discontinue that product. I put that decision right up there with Coca Cola Classic, one bad decision on their part. I'll just leave it at that.
With Adapt it was possible to get amazing correction and unbelievable finishing.
So basically it comes down to labor time. A two step polish takes twice as long as a one step and you still have to appply an LSP. When it comes to peoples wallets, most aren't willing to pay for a two step and I'm surely not doing a two step and charging a one step price.
On my daily drivers which are all recently new models I do a one step and then lsp.
For the OP here's a link to a project I did with HD Adapt:

I purchased Sonax 04/06 and Sonax Cut & Finish over the holiday sales but haven't had an opportunity to use them yet.
