    Re: Menzerna FG 400 ??

For me the choice to do a one step polish is always my first choice on daily drivers. With the quality of many of the products out there these days it is much easier to achieve exceptional results with many one step products.

Another product I really liked, even better than FG400 was HD Adapt. But for some unexplainable reason they chose to discontinue that product. I put that decision right up there with Coca Cola Classic, one bad decision on their part. I'll just leave it at that.

With Adapt it was possible to get amazing correction and unbelievable finishing.

So basically it comes down to labor time. A two step polish takes twice as long as a one step and you still have to appply an LSP. When it comes to peoples wallets, most aren't willing to pay for a two step and I'm surely not doing a two step and charging a one step price.

On my daily drivers which are all recently new models I do a one step and then lsp.

For the OP here's a link to a project I did with HD Adapt:

    2014 Nissan 370 Z Griots G21 HD Adapt 7 HD Poxy

I purchased Sonax 04/06 and Sonax Cut & Finish over the holiday sales but haven't had an opportunity to use them yet.

The microfiber pad and menzerna 400 is a really aggressive combination. I wouldnt jump straight to 400 without a test spot of something less aggressive first unless you already know the paint.

That's me! I'm new to machine polishing and don't know my paint. So I'm starting my test spot with Meg's UP and a white pad lol

No problem, we all have to start somewhere I guess. Honestly as with everything I want to try everything, I know menzerna has good polishes, lots of stories of griots correcting cream, and lastly sonax finishing polish but not until that bottle of ultimate compound, m105, m205 is gone. Honestly I'm having a hard time not trying something else from ultimate compound. The results it produces for the cost is amazing. That way money can go into more pads, and other detailing tools.

I think UC is Megs' best all around polish. However, M205 gets most of the praise

Meg's UC is a compound and M205 is a polish.
