what to use on unpainted exterior plastic

    HI All,
Down in GA, first post. I've presently got a 2015 Evoque. Could someone suggest a good polish/cleaner to keep all the unpainted exterior plastic components looking new?

Don't like the armor all as it's too greasy and doesn't look good. I did use a protectant some years ago I think was called One Grand Protectant.

    Looking for any ideas.
    Thanks!
    Chris

Have you tried using the search function? There are a great deal of threads about body molding protection.

One that is most highly spoken of is Cquartz DLux.

    Happy detailing!

Hello and welcome. There are some good choices here, here's one.

PERL Coat Plastic & Rubber Protectant, vinyl and rubber dressing, interior protectant

I recommend Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant and CarPro PEARL

The reason I recommend both is because it seems from experience plastics can be different and it's a material that's always changing. Sometimes CarPro PEARL works great and sometimes Wolfgang ETS works great but you can't or won't know unless you have both to test out.

One thing for sure... if you want to keep the plastic trim looking new then head the words of this old detailing quotation....

"Find something you like and use it often"

Most people let the plastic trim go till it's so ugly they have to do something and then they start looking for a miracle product. The true answer and the correct approach is RIGHT NOW while the trim looks good find something you like and start using it and always use it and your plastic trim will always look new.

Another vote for the Blackfire product. It was the first protectant type product I've used, but I've been really happy with the look and durability.
