Quietest Polisher
Mike,
We have an attached garage and my wife thinks my GG is deafening. Now we have a new 6lb 5oz addition so I need to be as quiet as possible. I'd like to know what to get so I can keep polishing noise down. Doesn't matter if DA or rotary. I've read some db rating on free running machines, but I want to hear about in actual use.
Up for recording the db levels of all AGs polishers with a 5" cutting pad put to paint? That wold give a fair comparison wouldn't it?

I tend to find that everything is much quieter if my wife goes shopping while I work in the garage.

I don't have a db reader, but my ears tell me that the Flex PE ftw.

That is one quiet rotary.

Thanks for the fast replies guys.
Rsurfer, I was thinking it'd be a rotary, but wasn't sure. I don't have any 1st hand experience with one but I may end up having to go that route.
Bsmith, I agree with that but with my work schedule I do a lot of stuff at night while everyone asleep.

Good question. If you ever do a comparison review, be sure to post it.
