Re: 1999 Caddy DeVille Tuxedo Edition

So...here is the update from yesterday’s attempt.

First...the paint was extremely hard and I did not have the correct pads and correction cream to attack it like it should have been. Although I was disappointed, the paint was severely chipped on the front hood and no correction would have made that any better. I really liked the vehicle. 21 years old and 88k miles. Absolutely NO rust to be seen anywhere! The back seat had not really been set on. Wondering what it would cost in my area to have the vehicle sanded and repainted? I was willing to throw a little more into the vehicle to get it...but needing paint could totally negate a purchase. And I am OK with that...this would have been a “want” purchase and not a “needs” purchase.

And to top it off...my Griots G15 long throw was used for the 4th or 5th time...It started out just fine...then started wobbling like an out of balance tire...then started throwing out metal shards. Looks like I will be contacting Griots tomorrow.

There's a shop in our area that kicks out complete paint jobs for around $1,000.00 - look great. So shop around.
