    Exterior Trim/Dressing products

I have been detailing cars since The age of 12. Over the years I have tested, tried, and have had experience with many products. However I have yet to find an exterior trim dressing/protection I like that works well, yet doesnt run all over the paint or chrome.
Particulary on my 2004 Silverado LS. Since its an LS model the door handles and tailgate bezels arnt painted and are of black plastic. Same goes for the bumper area. I used bumper magic years ago and it was probably the best of them All at the time. However, its very $$ and hard to find.
who makes a good product that cleans/protect the areas I mentioned without being over the top greasy and doesnt run all over?
    Thanks in advance

As you already know, most dressings can be problematic. Step up to a trim coating for those areas. I use TW Endura Trim Coating.

Prep with Mothers Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner then apply the coating. Prep is key.. Solution Finish is a similar product, but IMO it's not quite as good as the TW coating. The trim on that Silverado has lasted over a whole year looking that good and it's a daily driver that parkes outside 24/7.

Use it on that big windshield cowl of the Silverado too. Anywhere there's black textured trim. Just note that it doesn't do quite as well on smooth plastic trim because it streaks a bit on it. But as far as textured trim I haven't found anything better if you can still find some.

Give Meguiar's Ultimate LIQUID Wax a try.

Been using it on all of my 'plastic' stuff since first introduced-as they say, "Works for me."

I think this might be a two part question.

    1) To clean the trim I simply use an APC to prep the plastic before adding another product.

    2) To actually protect the trim, my new favorite product is McKee's 37 Plastic Trim Restorer. Very easy to apply and seems pretty durable for me so far.

This is my favorite and I compared it to McKee's as I have both and IMHO it's better and last longer.

    WETS

I did a side by side test over the summer and WETS easily outlasted Mckee's by 6 weeks. This time of the year I typically easily get 3-4 months of protection with WETS
