Hi folks

I realized yesterday that I am too low on Zaino to even do a complete coat of my car, so after finally getting my butt off the couch and claying the winter junk out of my paint, I now have nothing to protect it with.

I have an Arctic White BMW so there isn't much gloss to be had off the paint - but when it's clean it is a nice, crisp, bright white. I found the Zaino helped keep it that way.

I liked the protective properties of the Zaino - it lasted a long time. It was a bit of a pain to apply if you wanted multiple coats, but when the job was done I liked the results.

I am thinking of trying something else and I would like to know what is recommended. I am looking for something long lasting and easy to apply. Your recommendations are appreciated.

The only sealant I have used is Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0. Oh my! It is very nice, easy application and removal. I put it on my wife's car that sits outside 24/7 and got about 5 months out of it.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant delivers a deep, wet, liquid shimmer unlike anything you can imagine. (http://www.autogeek.net/wg5500.html)

If you want to try something different, Collinite 845 is awesome! It's not a sealant, but it is very durable and long lasting.

I've used BFWD, Power Lock and Dg 105. All fantastic. But if I had to choose one it would be BFWD. both power lock and Dg 105 last slightly longer. But BFWD just looks so so nice.

If you like the look of Z then you might want to consider DG (Duragloss) 105 mixed 4-1 with DG 601. Much less expensive than Z and really only requires one coat to last a good 6 months with great protection.

Beyond that there are so many great sealants out there these days that you need to do some reading and decide what properties you like--some ideas--Sonax Polymer Net Shield, Collinite 845,476 or 915, Finish Kare 1000p, HD Poxy, Menzerna Power Lock to name just a few.

I am looking for something
long lasting and easy to apply.

•Since it's burdened with the:
-"so-many-variables baggage"...It's difficult to make
a Sealant recommendation based on Longevity.

•However:
-This Sealant is right up the ol' "easy-to-apply-alley"!

Thanks everyone!

I am now full out of Z2 so I'll do some reading and then order up my next product. Thanks again for the suggestions.

I went from Zaino to Duragloss 105/601 and back to Zaino. There are threads all over the interweb that say Duragloss 111 is extremely similar to Zaino Z-2 so I finally gave it a try about 2 weeks ago. I can tell you that DG111 goes on identical to Z-2. Just as easy to apply and remove and a few drops go a looooong way. They both even give the same plastic appearance which I have always liked. I did use the 601 bonding agent which is pretty much the same thing as the old Zaino Z-1. I'll go right back to Zaino if the 111/601 is not as durable as Z-2. The 111/601($21.00 for both) is less expensive then Z-2/ZFX combo.

Four Star UPP .... looks like Zaino Z5Pro and Z8 together, and much slicker.
