I keep meaning to try PNS. My dad uses it on his black GMC Sierra Denali pickup that lives outside and it seems to last quite a while. Can I put it on top of another sealant or should I clay first?

Use PNS only on bare paint

You are going to get a hundred different responses. Use what you want.

I will use what I want....once I decide what I want. I know I want to try something different then Zaino but less time consuming and more durable than a wax/sealant combo, which is why I asked for suggestions.

No one mentioned Klasse?

HUMP

I know about Klasse but heard it's a pain to apply.

It this the BFWD people are referring to?

BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection, paint sealant, synthetic sealant, blackfire sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/blackfire-wet-diamond-sealant.html)

I just started using sonax polymer net shield myself. I used blackfire wet diamond before this and really wasnt satisifed with the product. It didnt seem to sheet and keep the paint clean like the sonax does. Now with the sonax....my god this stuff sheets like nothing i've ever seen. I'm absolutely happy with this product. I top it off with sonax bsd about every other car wash or so to help keep the sheeting to a maximum.

I've used the following
Meguiar's M21 - I experienced ~5 months out of it

Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid wax - I experienced ~6 months out of it

Detailer's Pro Poli-Coat - I experienced 7 months out of it on flat surfaces (hood, roof trunk). Vertical panels lasted longer

My current sealant to try is Ameriseal. Reviews put this at about 5-6 months.

If you want something to last longer and more durable then perhaps you want to go the route of a coating.

I ordered Optiseal and Sonax Netshield. And added in some Sonax 2 in 1 shampoo, Iron X Paste, Iron X Snow Foam, and Salt Eraser so I could get the free shipping on my order.

I'll try netshield first and after it starts to wear I'll try opti seal.

It'll be interesting to see how well the iron X foam actually reacts with metal particles. It says it can work like iron X more mildly while you wash and won't strip a sealant. We'll see.

If you are into beading/sheeting craze, I would recommend sonax brilliant shine detailer to maintain net shields beading/sheeting behavior. Opti-seal is more flat beading and doesn't even sheet as fast vs bsd on its own when I did a 50/50 test for BSD vs Opti-seal.

Tried Menzerna power lock sealant today for the first time. I do say that this product is easy on, easy off. The truck had a super slick feel to it. Now just waiting for it to cure before I top it off with Merzerna CL.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have been using Klasse AIO and KSG with really good results with Arctic White topped also with 2 layers of 845.

Also thinking though of trying the WG sealant.

Is no one using Jetseal 109 any more? Maybe its time I start testing a different sealant.....

I loved the way Powerlock looked on my grayestone metallic paint. I liked it better than ANY wax i've used honestly. Lasted about 5 months in the winter time for me with limited washes.

I liked the way Adams paint sealant performed. Lasted 6 months in the winter as well. Doesn't look as good as Powerlock though
