Yep, all Karcher pumps have a self priming pump capable of pumping up water from a still source. Mine pumps water out of my 50 and 90 gallon mobile detail tank.

Karcher sells a special tube which you can stick to a lake or a pond. It has a built in filter so you wont suck up dirt

Thanks I have that tube and filter already, but was wondering if I could just hook up a suction (Water) hose from tank straight to pressure washer and get to work?

Like stick the hose on the top of the tank, or opening, rather than rigging a hose and connection? That might work since the suction feature is pretty strong, some say it has flattened their hoses when they turn the faucet off, but I think in the long run it might strain the motor or pump depending on how high the water has to be pumped.

Karcher made in Mexico! Lowes dropped them about 3 yrs ago.

Yep! Karcher is a German company but pressure washers are made in Mexico. Guadeloupe Mexico to be exact. Suburbs of Monterrey. Karcher also owns Hotsy Hot water pressure washers also made in same place. Been there next door to them 27 times in 2 yrs.

I have never tried to run it out of a bucket, but I have tried the same model of Karcher that you are using. There were times were it would not shoot water out even when hooked up to a 90 gallon tank. I figured out a trick and stuck it to the hose for a bit and let it build pressure. Its a messy task when you remove the hose but it might work.

1. Find a faucet and hook up the pressure washer. Make sure the pressure washer hose and wand are attached.
2. Run the pressure washer for a bit and then let it stop running with its auto stop feature. It should now have built pressure from the pump to the wand. Turn unit off and unplug, but do not release pressure on the wand.
3. Now the messy part is unhooking the hose connection. Turn it off to reduce backspray. And dont release the built up pressure from the wand.
4.) Hook up the hose accesorry and stick it in your bucket of water, Plug it in and release the pressure from the wand, it should now be sucking water from the tank. Hopefully this does the trick, as I have done this to my newer units before they were able to fully pump water from a detail tank. I did not find this problem with the newer X series Karcher untis though.

RAV777, thanks hope to get in early enough tomorrow from work to test, not a big problem at the moment since I can use a standard spigot at home but if I ever go mobile then I need this until I get a gas Karcher (Model G 2600 VC Plus) from Home depot maybe summer of 2012..Looking to hook up water tank (65 gallons) & pressure washer to a push type cart just to do exterior washs only in a parking lot setting.... like a skid mounted unit on wheels

I get about 4-6 cars depending on the condition of the vehicles. It can do about 5-6 cars or about 4 larger vehicles. I usually fill it daily but there have been busy days were I filled it 3 times per day. It would be nice to have a bigger tank but I am going to wait until I get a bigger vehicle. I bought that tank from Plastic Mart.

Really like my set up now that I am getting a mobile RO/DI filter from a local supplier, so now I dont have to drive to buy my water.

I can not find a place to purchase larger volume of distilled water where have you searched?

My local detail shop in San Diego has a 1000 gallon tank of DI/RO water that he sells at an affordable price. I fill up my 50 gallon tank for about $5 dollars.

This new place I found is called PureTech, which has a truck that replaces your old tank once it cannot filter any more water. Once the resin stops getting 0ppm then they come and switch your tanks. Much like a Natural Gas service does. You should see if you have a company like this in your area.
