I have the typical minor paint transfers from door dings an the Jeep. I did a search but couldn't find much on this alone. I want to remove them with out going to deep into the clearcoat. Lookinf for the safest method to remove them. These are just minor paint transfers no dents. I do have Meguiars 105 & 205. Should I try 205 first by hand or another product? Thanks guys, Dave

Depending on how bad it is either 105 or 205 "should" fix it. I wouldn't even bother doing it by hand ;)

Even a clay bar might be able to take care of it; if not 105 or 205 should do the trick.

I tried the clay bar until rain stopped me. It didn't do any good. I'll try the 105 & 205 combo. I remember as a kid (long time ago) the trick was to use toothpaste. I wonder now how much we did more damage then helped.

I had some paint transfer that was thicker than most, no underlying damage. I worked my way up to a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with clay lube. Removed the transfer slicker n snot leaving a bit of marring that 105/205 fixed up good as new. YMMV.
