Training Cars for the September 2015 3-Day Boot Camp Class
Training Cars for the September 2015 3-Day Boot Camp Class
Our 3-day detailing classes cover a LOT of different tools, products and techniques and for each tool set we use multiple cars where the condition of the car is matched to the tools and techniques being taught.
We use a collection of new cars as well as cool cars for the best hands-on learning experience available in the industry.
Here's the cars I have lined up for the September class.
1971 Chevelle 454
Numbers matching car with factory air conditioning.
Topics: This car will be used to learn the art of machine polishing paint using either the RUPES, Flex 3401 or BOSS polishers.
Don't be fooled - I don't bring cars in that are already in great condtion
I know the paint looks shiny as though iti's in great condition according to the picture above but here's what it really looks like.
1949 Cadillac
This is an incredible restored Cadillac but in the sun you can see the entire car is filled with swirls and scratches and needs to be clayed.
Topics: Rinseless wash, Nanoskin towels, machine polishing to remove swirls.
1950 Ford Convertible
This is a very high dollar custom streetrod but time and normal wear-n-tear has taken it's toll on the paint and she's due for a show car detail plus have the interior cleaned and the top cleaned and waterproofed.
Topic: Waterless wash, detailing clay, machine polishing to remove swirls, convertible top cleaning and steam cleaning.
2007 Dodge SRT Superbee
The paint on this Superbee is in dire need of chemical decontamination, mechanical decontamination and paint correction.
Topics: Iron X, Nanoskin Washmitts, Machine polishing to remove swirls and scratches.
2004 Corvette Commerative Edition
This is a really nice, low mileage Corvette except that it has water spots throughouth the finish.
Topics: Cosmetic engine detailing, interior steam cleaning, machine polishing to remove water spots out of the hard clearcoat finish.
2002 Chevy Avalanche
This Chevy Avalanche was schedule for our last class but the owner had to cancel at the last moment due to a schedule conflict. I have rescheduled this Avalanche for our next class.
Topics: Production detailing, plastic trim restoration and full engine detailing.
2008 Saturn Astra
Here's one of the cars the students in the September 2015 3-day detailing boot camp class will be working on.
The focus on this car will be how to do,
- Cosmetic Engine Detailing.
- Production Detailing for the exterior.
- Aggressive Wash Method using Iron X and Nanoskin Mitts.
2006 Ford Expedition
We'll be teaching,
- Headlight restoration - Sanding to remove the OEM Coating.
- Headlight protection - How to apply Xpel Headlight Films.
- The aggressive approach to washing including Iron X, Nanoskin Wash Mitts.
- Interior Detailing with hot water extreactors, steam cleaners and Tornador air tools.
- How to use the rotary buffer.
As I confirm more cars for this class I'll add them to this thread.
Historically the September class always fill up the fastest and we end up turning people away.

Another slate of great cars to play with. You have to have some very trusting associates.
