Barn Find - 41,000 Original Miles - 1970 Chevy Malibu
Barn Find - 41,000 Original Miles - 1970 Chevy Malibu
Technically, this was a Storage Unit find. A friend of mine, Bob S. purchased this car for around $12,000.00 - this car has never been apart. It has the original engine, transmission and running gear just the way it came off the assembly line.
It does look like it has been repainted but if it has - it's a very old paint job. The car was stored in 1980. If it was repainted, that means it was repainted before 1980 and body shops here in the United States of America were still shooting single stage paint pre-1980.

Andre says there are only 2 spaces left for this class so if you want to attend, clear your schedule and get signed-up.

This car will be one of 6 cars detailed on Friday, September 28th, the first day of the 3-day detailing class here at Autogeek. Friday and Saturday are primarily going over all the tools available on the market. Each "tool set" gets 2 cars. I have up to 20 people in a class and this is why if anyone is paying attention, this is the reason you see me get HUGE cars for my classes.
Some people "think" I get 1950s, 1960s and 1970s muscle cars, classics and streetrods because I like these types of cars. And yes I do like cars that have body styles that endure forever, (and these are the cars you see the guys on TV working on), but the more important reason is because EVERONE gets hands-on time in our classes.
No one stands around because there's no place to work on a car. So this is why you see me bring in HUGE cars in HORIBLE shape and that's because our classes are hands-on and you need large cars so there's plenty of real-estate to work on.

pretty big compared to what the malibu is today.
I wonder if a paintbrush would work for inbetween the tire letters. What I often use to apply tire gel or coatings.
