Evan.j's 2014 Detail Fest Adventure!

Well Detail Fest 2014 came and went and I must say it is an experience I will never forget! Max and the gang down at Autogeek put on one amazing event not only for detail junkies like us but for the average person and car guy.

Every seminar although only 45 minutes in length was jam packed full of information. All those that had taught these seminars were excellent at driving home important points and sharing the knowledge that they have.

All the experts from Mike Phillips, Jose "Joe" Fernandez, Renny Doyle, Jason Rose, Michael Stoops, Todd Helme, and Forrest/ Eric Dunn did an great job and I want to personally want to say,

"Thank You for taking you time out of the busy schedules to give your knowledge to all of us whether we were able to attend or watching on the internet. I know it meant a lot to me and I am sure it did to others!"

These guys along with many others are simply the best! The attitude they have toward the detailing community and their willingness to meet and talk with you is unlike anything in any other industry. All of those guys are the most down to earth most approachable people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and I am glad that I have done so.

Renny Doyle said it best, "These guys come because they love what they do and want to see the industry grow from what has been a band of gypsies for the longest of time. If you aren't talking with them and picking the brains of these guys then your missing out!"

I can certainly say 100% that I will be returning next year to Detail Fest 2015 and I know I can't wait. I strongly encourage all of you to do what you can to attend next year. This trip was worth more than what I have paid in money and the experience is simply priceless.

I want to take the time to thank Max for having such an ingenious idea to get an event like this together and to host something as amazing as this but the biggest kicker.... Its all free!!!! Your too kind Max and thanks for the huge opportunity!

Meghan, what can I say but, "You work hard!" From Day 1 I saw you running around and I don't think I ever saw you stop! You did an excellent job and I can see your true dedication to the company and your love for the company. It was a pleasure to finally meet you though it wasn't for long I am happy to say that I had the chance to meet you!

Nick, How many tours did you end up giving? Nick is a class act hands down down to earth and always has a smile. It was a pleasure to finally meet you and talk with you for a few minutes. Thank you for all the hard work you put forth for this event.

Mike, Well I can say I was star struck when I first met you but it was certainly a pleasure. Thank you for taking out the time to hold some classes and just sharing the smallest amount of knowledge that you have. Over the years I have been able to learn so much from you over the internet and self teach myself to what I now know today. Without you I would not have the love, passion, dedication, and knowledge of detailing. Thank you very much for taking the time to talk with me and get a photo. I had a blast and will be make more time to come down and maybe do an open night garage and a boot camp class.

To all the Geeks,
Without all of you working and running around this weekend this event could have not been this big of a success. Each and every one of you worked hard and you all deserve the recognition for all of your hard work.

Evan, thanks so much for continuing your thread!
I've read the posts and watched the streams for a few years, but it's cool to get a point of view from someone you've met. Sounds like you spent your weekend just like I would have, had I been able to be there--have fun and socialize, but soak up all the education you can from folks you respect.

Meghan I had a Blast at Detail Fest!

Yancy!!!!!! How can I forgot this guy? Yancy is the man behind it all. I think I watched him suck down a case of NO2 engery drink. Detail Fest could not have been covered any better than by this guy. Photos of classes, videos of classes, photos out side up on the lift, photos of people durning the day, at the meet greet and so much more. Thank You for all that you do at AG!!!! I hope you have a stock pike of NO2!
