Re: Roll Call! Who drives a MANUAL transmission?
I wish I had manual drive vehicles. I grew up driving them, and almost always had one. When I got my 1st automatic I was instantly bored with it, and found out really fast they were not as fun LOL! My first real experience with a manual and a "fun" sports car was an 87' Iroc Z, man that car was awesome! I've never had another car that was so much fun to drive, well save for my 18' Charger Daytona 392, but that has an auto of course.
When I got married about 15 years ago, I've been trying to convert my wife to a manual transmission. She wants nothing to do with them, and refuses to let me buy one citing that she won't be able to drive it. I've told her several times they are very easy to learn, and I've taught several people how to drive stick. She doesn't care, and feels they are too confusing. Oh well, maybe some day again....

Seeing that this older thread was bumped, I'll jump in.
My 89 Mustang and my motorcycle are manuals.
My Golf R is auto.
If I ever look at replacing the Stang, it will be something with a manual.

I wanted a manual in my Chevy truck but they are not even available except in the bottom-of-the-barrel 4 cylinder base model.

With my Mazda 3, it's now the opposite. I had to get the top trim level to get a manual and it was a no cost option. Basically, if you want one, we're gonna make you pay for it. The previous 3 (2014), it was only available on the lower trims with a 2.0L. Wasn't available on the 2.5L's.
