Thank you all again for the kind thoughts and prayers.
Sidney is still with us at the moment but I don't know if he will be by end of the week.
For now we are trying to give him lots of love and treats.
It doesn't make it any easier, but try and take some comfort in the fact that Sidney had the BEST life a dog could ever have with you and the hubby, Monica.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: DK News
It’s with a lot of sadness that I post this...
We made the tough decision and said goodbye to our pup this evening.
He was just getting worse and we didn’t want to see him suffer anymore.
He was a great dog... so sweet and gentile. Not a mean bone in his body. He even tolerated my cats swatting him.
He was goofy and loved running and playing. He had the softest fur (like a bunny) and would howl at sirens.
Sidney will be missed terribly. Our house will not be the same without him.

Re: DK News
You did the right thing, Monica.
Thank you for the short description of the awesome Sidney.
I know all about the rough decision to say the final goodbye to a beloved family member.
God bless you guys tonight, and in the coming days.

Re: DK News
So sorry to hear about your loss. Our little girl is going on 11 with heart trouble. I feel the pain just thinking about losing her. Take care Monica.

Re: DK News
I also will say (personally) that posting about car detailing is pretty much useless to me after reading about the passing of Sidney.
I will bid all a good night for this evening, and say another prayer for Monica.

I am very sorry and I know the feeling. Your loss brings back my own sad memories. Fortunately there are a lot more happy memories. Dogs provide that special companionship like no other. I reflect on that and then I don’t feel as sad any more. I will keep you in my thoughts.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Re: DK News
He’s better off if he was in pain. Now he’s got a yard as big as any with miles to run. He’s keeping some angel busy now. It was a hard thing you did but you did right by him and your both better off to have had each other.

Re: DK News
Thank you everyone for the kind words...
This morning was a little rough, coming downstairs to a dark and empty room that our Sidney was usually in waiting for us.
Here's a picture of our sweet boy Sidney taken in July this year:
