Re: Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING
I'm just waiting to see if I can use it as a drying aid, that would be AMAZING

You have tons of silica toppers for that.

Suprised Mother's let Meguiar's beat them to the shelves. Wonder how many retail shoppers will pay $14.99 for Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax then a month or so later pay ~$19.99 for Mother's CMX. As a guy with an MBA, it's very risky for a product to be "2nd" in getting out in the market. I hope both products do well. The boutique products are too expensive for what little R&D and marketing dollars they invest.

They are completely different products in application. Also, Mother's claims theirs is a true coating, in which durability should be better than Meg's.

Keep studying. All other things being equal you have a point; which I assume the smart guys at Mother's have a marketing plan. That said, all other things are *not* equal.

I’m more interested in bringing a great performing product to market than bringing a product to market first.
With a family owned business, sometimes the decisions made won’t always make sense to outsiders. And we may have an MBA or 2 around.

If this can be used as a drying aid I'm gonna need this to be sold in gallons.

I have engineering degree, a Professional Engineer's license, an MBA, and 6 other professional certifications. I've studied plenty thank you. If I were 10 years younger, I'd get my PhD, but would rather one or two of my kids aspire to top mom and dad's education levels.

I work with many PEs, some of whom have MBAs. I’m thankful they’re all humble and don’t pop off their educational and career achievements to bedazzle the public.
