Your Favorite Wash and Wax
What's your favorite wash and wax and why? I've never used one, but would like to pick some up for my personal cars to use in between detail jobs. Normally I just wash with megs gold class. Any downside to a wash and wax?
I should add that I typically use a foam gun.

McKee's 37 Power Wash, foaming wash and wax
DP POWER WASH. I have not used them all, but got to try this awhile back. Good soap. Real wax protection. Worked great in the foam gun.
There are some new ones out. Blackfire wash & wax. And Meguiars has a new one out also.

yeah megs wash and wax looks pretty affordable to try out.
I'm assuming these are all safe for glass and to top a polymer sealant?

BLACKFIRE Wash & Wax
Meguiar's Citrus Blast Wash & Wax
The 2 newest offerings of wash & wax.
Glass should not be a issue. And any of them would be fine to maintain a sealant. By using these I would skip a drying aid. You are already adding some protection by using these washes with wax.

Wash and Wax car shampoos?
Never have been a fan.
The closest I’ll ever come to using any
type of wash ‘n’ wax products are ones
such as: Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash,
and the glossy finish it can bestow.

You are correct.
Most wash and waxes I’ve used are really wash and polymers (Blackfire Car Wash being my favorite, Mckees SiO2 Auto Wash being another). My favorite true wash and (carnauba) wax is Mckees Power Wash. Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo is also good but not sure if it has carnauba, but does have glossenhancers of some sort.

All the PBMG soaps are legit - they just cost more than others that work just as well. I'm going to say Duragloss w/ Aquawax is pretty good. For rinseless I'd say UWW+

yeah i've always had the same thought. But then just sort of wondered on a vehicle like my truck if it could extend the protection a little. But I also have some wax extender sprays and such that are probably better suited for the task? idk for $10 I might pick some up anyhow just to give it a shot.

Re: Your Favorite Wash and Wax
It may be overkill, but I go all in for certain LSPs, utilizing all synergistic supplements — that is wash with the glossenhancing shampoo or rinseless, use the waterless wash and QDs in-between, and use the spray waxes every 2-3 weeks. Needless to say I’ve never accidentally found that my car isn’t beading or any other clues implying my protection is gone. I just eventually polish or decon and start new.
I have way too much stuff. But it makes me happy.

Car Pro Hydrofoam. Crazy slick and actually leaves behind legitimate protection. McKee’s Si02 is a great wash as well.
