Re: Some inital thoughts on Carpro new Clear Cut Compound
Yeah im gonna order and try that S2 black. Imo S2 orange is not any more agreasive than S3 XXl and Scholl's specs agrees. I just hope that S2 is not as greasy as S3 xxl, since its not the best with mf.

S2 black is much like S3 Gold XXL but with a 30% more cut. I don't know about the consistency is the same. S1 Black is a bit more cut and much only for hard clearcoats.

I live in Sweden and get it from there. The s1 Black is so new not even Scholl have on there page yet.
Sorry for the sidestep of the thread. And I'm excited to test carpro clear cut when it comes.
Which compound is it most like in the cutting ability to? And have you tested it with a light cutting pad and if it finished down good then?
I like that it's so few passes when you using it.

We must have very different S2’s, S3 Gold XXL doesn’t cut anywhere close to S2 Orange. The cut differences are like 400 and 300. I must have S1 and S2 Black, didn’t know about it till SWETM mentioned it.

I agree with Joel1979, I just don't get anymore cut from S2 orange than I do with S3 Gold XXL. The problem with S2 Orange is how quick the abrasives diminish and the product isn't lubricated enough IMO. But if the new S2 Black is like S3 Gold XXL with 30% more cut then that is going to be something special. I do agree that there is a big difference in the cut of SHC 300 and FG400.

Re: Some inital thoughts on Carpro new Clear Cut Compound
What I have seen in pictures and read about it. They say in cutting fg400 is as s3 Gold XXL and shc300 is as s2 Black. But s2 Black finish down much better than shc300 and is on pair with fg400 and s3. And this is on hard clearcoats as BMW, VW and Mercedes. On some of this paints you don't have to use the most aggressive pads. S2 black is a cutting compound and not like s20 Black that is more a one step compound. So it's recommended that you follow up with a finishing polish.
I have read and seen from the Swedish forums from different users from both pros and enthusiasts.

CarPro shared this video on their facebook page.
The text for the post
Just when you thought the new #carpro #clearcut had enough cutting , then you see this.. Clearcut on 600p grit sanding , used Immolube as sanding lubricant , Festool DA . Fast cutting enough for you guys?
