    Spolier wetsanding for re-applying base coat issues

    Hi all,
    My spoiler is all bubbled up now. I bought automotivetouchup base coat and clear coat.
    Wanted to prep the spoiler for base coat.

    What i want to do is prep the base coat (hand wet sand) and apply base coat and clear coat.

    Started with 600 grit sand paperfirst. But bubly spots remain. Some areas are bight red and others are reddish gray...

    So switched to 400 grit sand paper still not uniform...

    My question is this how it is and it is OK and should i just go ahead and apply base coat... and bubles will go away once I apply base coat..

    Any suggestions or other post/faqs to look at ?

    Maybe it's my eyes giving me fits...
    But it still looks like there is still some
    ClearCoat (CC) paint left on the spoiler.

    I would make sure all the CC is removed;
    then scuff the BaseCoat to remove the "bubbles",
    and ready the spoiler for the primer-coat.

    The spoiler is going to receive a primer,
    before you spray the BC/CC, isn't it?

    The clear coat still remains on most of the spoiler. Since it is separating from the base coat, you cannot re-paint on top it. All of the clear coat needs to be removed before you can properly put new coats on.
