    lake county ccs vs. Chemical guys hexlogic

    so i am looking to get a set of pads. i have heard of good things about both CCS from lake county mfg. and also hexlogic from chemical guys. has any one ever used them are they basicly the same (hexagon pateren vs the CCS dots) or are they used for different things???? lets take a vote also any info would be helpfull

    I believe HL pads are still being made by Buff & Shine. IMHO, they make a better pad than LC. I feel whatever adhesive BnS uses for the "velcro", it is significantly better to what LC uses.

    do they have to be washed by hand or can they go in machiene is that why you said adheasive better?

    just found chem. guys also has a pad i think they call it BUFX but visually looks like a lake county CCS pad ...this is one thing i am tring to fig. out does the pattern on the face wether its the ccs or BUFX "dots" or the hexagon pattern make a difference are they used for diff. things

    did some reading it is BUFLC not BUFX sorry and they are made by lake county i guess sold on chem guys site .....they dont say ccs but looks the same my questions about the differences still stand tho

    megs 5" DA foam discs and/or the B&S 5.5" flat pads would be my choice...

    These two specific lines are very different.

    In general, all but the white lc ccs pad are open cell foam.

    The Hex Logic feature four closed cell (yellow, orange, white, and red) and three open cell (green, blue, grey) in the line.

    I enjoy and use both brands of pads.

    Lake country ccs and hydrotech pads are imo some of the best pads, I will say the white,green and black hex logic are nice too.

    The idea behind the ccs dimples, is that it will hold any excess product. To some extent, the same idea applies to the hex face pads. One benefit that I like about the face designs is smoother machine operation, and reduced heat on both the pad, and the paint.
