I had a car coming in for a 3 day wet-sanding job. After ''wasting'' 3 hours on the trunk, I knew somethign was wrong..
I did a test spot where the spoiler would be and I could dig the paint with my nail. I called the painter and he told me the paint he used was a slow curing mix and it was painted 72 hours ago.
1) How long should I wait for the paint to fully cure when used a slow-curing mix ?
2) is there a danger that the scratch introduced in the paint will never come off and be part of the clear coat once cured ?
What happened is that I was able to wet-sand and remove the orange peel... but some sanding mark wouldn't be removed no matter how many passes I was doing. My theory is the paint is so soft that the marks are ''inside'' the clear now.
