The lighting of the photos is distorting the proper comparison before and after, as is the close up/back off and slightly different angles.

Notice how every before shot has that blueish LED type light and the after shots are a warmer yellowish light? If you zoom up on the after pic of the window switches, you can still see a good amount of gouging.

The OPC does help to be sure, rubbing out dirt and loose plastic, and softening the edges of the scratches can help, but a lot of it is the photography.

Those photos were taken expressly to maximize the bad in the before shots, and minimize the bad in the after shots. Good marketing is what you should take away from that.

Thanks for all the comments. Have selected a few below and answered them in detail.

Basically, we used Dr. G's amazing Optimum Power Clean to safely remove the soft touch coating on top of the original plastic. It's really quite simple and another great use for this great product.

How did you fix the scratches? They looked kinda deep for a mere cleaning.

The scratches are in the soft touch coatings which is on top of the plastic below. Not sure if it's our weather over there but he hot and humid conditions wreak havoc on these soft touch coating. They turn soft and sticky. This is not only restricted to Ferrari's but most continental or imported cars.

I was under the impression that if the plastics began to degrade like that, trying to clean them would only make it worse. Can you elaborate on how you cleaned and fixed those plastic areas?

They look great now!

There is actually no issues with the underlying plastic. They look great and the wordings and graphics that are printed on them are still present even after removal of the soft touch coating.

Incredible. It looks like you replaced the plastic parts. If you could teach us how to correct such issues you'd be the hero of this site!

The cleaning does remove the soft touch coatings so if you do like that soft feel you would still need to replace the parts. However, the plastic below looks and feels great to me and the owner was also pretty pleased.

Definitely NOT new parts. If you look closely at the pics you can see that the afters are just the underlying plactic.

Acetone is my guess. I use it to remove gouges in my dash from my dogs hard nails. It melts the plastic and leaves a good surface for a sealant.

Acetone is very dangerous on plastic. As you said, it will actually melt the plastic. Definitely NOT recommended.

Also not a good idea as interiors have a lot of other heat sensitive materials such as rubber, etc.

I was first thinking that but then said in a Ferrari? Id want oem surface otherwise it will look out of place.

The surfaces look and feel fine. But of course, the owner could replace them all at great expense only to have to do it again after a few years.

The after pictures were taken further away ....... I'd like to see close ups of the after pics.

Optimum Power Clean by Optimum Polymer Technologies. It's a strong but safe multi-purpose cleaner.

I do apologize for the difference in lighting. Aside from obvious white balance issues with the camera, time of day, different lights used at our delivery bay, I don't see how the different lighting conditions could mask the scratches on the plastic.

As stated before, the OPC removes the soft touch coating on which most, if not all of the gouges and scratches seen, were due to this coating. The underlying plastic is usually in pretty good shape.

Anyway, don't take my word for it. Try it out and post some pictures on the forum. Look forward to seeing them. Am confident the results will look great with OPC.
