    New Accord Opti-Coated and G1ed

I got a call from a client asking to have his car Opti-Coated. He actually had purchased 2.0. It was nice to work with someone who had some knowledge of some current products.

Chris (the client) was a great guy! He was really nice and I really enjoyed working with him.

This car didnt need any correction as it was new. I even did some checking in the sun and under the brinkman and no swirls so that was really nice.

    My Process:
-Foamed the car with OPC (4 times) I wanted to make sure the paint was squeaky clean.
-Washed the car (2BM) with dawn and car wash mixture
    -Pat dry with Guzzler
    -Remove wheels and Opti Coat
    -G1 on all glass
    -Opti-Coat on all paint

    Dealer Sticker adhesive

    Sonax working on rims

    Wheels removed to be Opti-Coated

G1 setting up on the glass

    The Finished Product

Thanks for looking! Chris said he may become a member here at AGO, I hope he does. He is a great guy.

Looking great. Haven't tried Opti-Coat personally but from reading and looking at pictures, looks like a must have.
Dumb question here, but what is G1??

Thank you. And as kb2 said G1 is from Gtechniq and it really is like rainx on steroids.

I get mine directly from the company or you can get it from pakshak.

Jon, great job on the Accord!! I love how you pulled the wheels too, now, that's doing it properly! Just wondering though, why G1 on the glass and not OC? Is the G1 supposed to have longer durability than the OC? I have never had issues using OC on glass. Those of us who having been using it on glass long before the CYA disclaimer about not using it on glass have never had an issue. Great job though, the car looks amazing.
