Which PC kit?
So after doing some research for a few days Ive decided that the porter cable is probably the safest power tool for a newbie like me to use on my car (black 2011 4runner).
Problem is Im having trouble deciding which kit to get, Im kind of leaning towards the showcar kit with the pinnacle products, but Im a big fan of meguiars products and am also thinking of the meguiars kit.
Suggestions? The 4runner came to me from the dealer with lots of swirls and microscratches, but at first Ill be "practicing" on a 97 red dodge ram that as been neglected.

Re: Which PC kit?
If your already comfortable with Meguiar's then go with that kit, get 5.5" pads with it.
You can tackle just about anything with a DA polisher, 5.5" pads, good products and the right technique.

This all comes down to preforance, IMHO the LC flat pads are the way to go. Orange, White, Grey and or blue.

I would go with menzerna line.

I agree with the Make it shine on the pads, the 5.5" LC flat pads have lasted longer and are easier to clean than any of the other pads that I've used. Orange White and Grey is a good place to start. I would get 2 of each color. Maybe an extra white or orange instead of 2 grey depending on the condition of paint that you are working with.
