Something like D151 with no wax?
Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone can advise me on something thats like D151...as far as having a pretty good cut, and finishing off nice, but doesnt have a wax.
I usually follow up d151 with a sealant or wax anyway, so i was wondering if there is something Megs..or someone else makes...that will cut, finish and leave the surface ready for sealing. D151 usually goes for $30 a gallon, give or take...so if i could save a little money on a gallon size i'd like to do so, but dont want to give up performance.
I used Pinnacle's XMT Swirl Remover #2 recently, and was very pleased, its just too expensive for me right now. I would THINK meguiars makes something that cuts and finishes nicely for a good price a gallon but i'm open to other brands.
Id be using my PC and probably a polishing pad to apply it.
Thanks for the help guys.

Meguiar's Solo (M86) or Ultimate Compound are relatively close in cut to D151.
Menzerna's PO203S would also be a good choice.

That might be a challenge to find a similar product at that price point by the gallon...

I would try SwirlX...it isn't as cheap as D151, but it can be had locally, which can be an advantage.

Not same price point but on some paints you can one step with m205, menz sip or prima swirl all using right pad and technique. Also check out menz power finish and I think meg m66.

M66 Quick Detailer isn't even in the same class of products. It's not a bad product by any means -- in fact I have and use it for some of the one-step jobs I do on softer paints -- it's just not the same in terms of how it is worked with.
M66 is a DAT product; D151, UC, M205, SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0 which were all also mentioned so far are SMAT products. Big difference.
