Not at all. Used good technique, quality pads and trusted the name on the bottle.

i am leaning towards the amount and kind of defects involved. rotary was the way to go for defct removal. you look at the results and say hey, wy not polish with rotary and see where that gets ya. in this instance the results speak for themselves.

The finish is holding up great! i'm afraid to wipe it off though for fear of putting the swirls back in! However, after i finish washing it, the water doesn't stick AT ALL and runs right off the car. Literally NO drying work involved, the product does it for you!

one thing to note... be careful of what car wash you use. the first time i washed it, afterwards i noticed the ingredients in the bottle of wash had a NanoWax in it. This put almost a hazyness back into the finish and i was freaking out a little bit haha. however i just washed it again with normal car wash and that 'show car' finish came right out again.

    thanks Mike!

Hey that's great feedback that a lot of people will be interested in...

Rob Earle states the same thing about Gtechniq products, that is if you apply one of their coatings to use a car wash that does NOT add any type of glossing agents as they can mute the gloss their coatings create.

    More good feedback...

Great thread! I noticed you used the WG applicator but there's a sonax applicator (yellow sponge-like with white grip) Is there a difference?

I would think the WG applicator is a softer foam than the Sonax one.

I personally am not a fan of the yellow applicator that Sonax offers. I like using two towels to apply PNS.

Here is my write up on how I apply it

First here's the date stamp for when we did this project,

    12-20-2012

I'm not sure but it could be 3 years ago we didn't carry the SONAX applicator pad. It could be the current SONAX applicator pad you're referencing didn't exist?

Big picture is to use something soft that spreads out the PNS well.

    Check out Evan's write-up.
