    Barrett-Jackson auction

Anyone else watching the Barrett-Jackson auction this weekend?

Some of the cars have obviously received the attention they deserved. Others have mild swirls, to one car on Thursday night that had absolutely terrible buffer trails on it, though it still pulled decent money.

Just wondering if anyone else is watching and critiquing the quality of the "details" that were performed.

Best of show goes to the awesome mullet sported by Michael Anthony (Bassist for real Van Halen) interviewed on Friday afternoon. Gotta love rockin the mullet in 2015.

I saw that to, and saw Wayne Carini on the block.

If you use the BJ supplies you have to pay the full price plus 7% comission I believe

    Re: Barrett-Jackson auction

I started watching it Tuesday. Been DVR'ing it and almost catching up live by the time it's over. We've been home eat up with the flu all week, CarMomma in the family room, me in the bedroom. (Trying not to keep re-infecting each other, not to mention my 21 year old son has it too.)

Until today I'd already watched 24 hours of coverage!

No real reason to watch it live anymore, being as they did away with the Haggerty Fantasy Bid contest.

Saturday of course is known for a lot of high-dollar sales, but this year they got some nice ones in early.

Actually Tuesday was pretty darned good. Rather than it being a typical opening day, with a lot of vehicles selling under $10,000 they started rolling in a number of the Ron Pratte Collection vehicles, which also included some of the Boyd Coddington cars. There was a 40 Ford that brought $345,000 (+10%) in the opening day!

Yup..... should I ever win the Lotto......... you'll find me there on the front row.

    Re: Barrett-Jackson auction

CarDaddy, I hope you Dr. will write you prescriptions for Tamiflu to keep on hand for when you start to feel a Flu coming on.
I always keep two regimes of it in the fridge. Last Flu I had I started taking the Tamiflu within 2 hours of feeling it. I was almost normal within three days. When before I had Tamiflu my Flus would last at least a week of misery.

And I have been watching the auction as much as possible. I don't like the increase in "personalities" blabbering about the cars instead of showing the auction.

Just show us the damn cars already.
