Removing Chrome Mirror and Door Handle Covers

I have 2007 Dodge Ram that I bought used last year and came with chrome covers on the mirrors and door handles. And from the looks of them, they weren't taken care of very well and I am thinking about just taking them off.

Do any of you all have any experience or advice regarding removing chrome covers from mirrors and door handles?

Also after removal, any problems cleaning up the black plactic?

And any suggestion of products to try to clean them up, I have Poorboys World Trim Restorer.

    Thanks

You need to find out if they were installed my the factory or the dealer . If they are glued on you can take a hair dryer heat up the piece and remove it being very carefully not too do any damage .If they are factory installed you would need to replace them. You can try cleaning them up with a mild cleaner or something like Never-Dull .
Take a picture of the chrome pieces and post it so we can get a better idea what your dealing with .
